LANYPAA is a service committee within Alcoholics Anonymous that looks to carry the message and vision of AA to the young and young at heart in Langley and the surrounding area. Our primary purpose is to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous. Newcomers, shown by other alcoholics their own age, will see that using AA principles in their daily lives and getting involved in AA Service can lead to a lasting and comfortable sobriety.
LANYPAA, formed in December 2008, is an extended group of the BCYPAA Committee, directly responsible for serving the Langley area. We are a group of young people in AA that desire to be of service by reaching out to other young alcoholics. We are organized under the 5th and 9th Traditions of AA. LANYPAA adheres to the principles of AA, the Twelve Traditions of AA, and the Twelve Concepts for World Service. LANYPAA is an addition to the existing services of AA, and in no way separate from AA as a whole.
Our hope is that newcomers will find a new way of life through meeting other young alcoholics, hearing the message of recovery, and realizing that sobriety can be fun.
